About
Richardson-Allen began producing architectural garden structures, and custom benches in 1982. As the fifth generation on the coast of southern Maine, we operate with old world New England craftsmanship and pride of product. The skills and ingenuity of our forebears have been passed down and enhanced by today’s advances in materials and technology.
For over three decades we have found a home within the old brick walls of an historic 165 year old textile mill. A mill where our great ancestors walked the same floors at the onset of the Industrial Revolution. Located on the edge of the Saco river as it flows into the Atlantic Ocean, where great schooners were once built and launched, there is a constant reminder of the high standards in the history of American craftsmanship. In today’s era of disposable goods, at Richardson Allen, we are inspired to honor a call from the past with our commitment to the ideals of extraordinary quality. Our goal is to actualize today’s vision while building tomorrows collections.
