We first designed the Allegro Bench for use in public settings such as shopping malls and railway stations, as the thicker posts and wider seat slats accommodate heavy traffic. However, with its gentle arched back and your choice of tapered or scrolled arms, the Allegro provides a perfect moment of rest for any patio or garden.

The Cape Porpoise Collection was named for the seaside Maine village where Richardson Allen was born in 1984.  The fretwork design of the back and the cresting of the arms take inspiration from the waves that surround this charming ocean hamlet.

The Chippendale I collection features octagonal patterns set between vertical frames. This intricate pattern represents the halcyon days of 18th century English furniture.

The Chippendale II is one of our most popular designs with an intricate grid pattern that originated thousands of years ago in India.  We offer this pattern in standard and deep seating designs, as well as chaises and custom table bases.

Like the crest of a wave, the Crescendo Bench rises from its rolled armrest to the full height of its scrolled back.

Our Empire collection features an elegant motif of a circle divided into four quadrants. The pattern celebrates old-world engineering: the enduring strength and balance of a keystone arch.

Originally designed by the English architect Edwin Lutyens in 1902, this bench and its accompanying garden chair are a perennial favorite for traditional patios and gardens. Our take on the Lutyens design preserves the sweeping, curved back and the fine, linear horizontal spokes of the original. We offer the bench in a selection of standard lengths, each maintaining the elegant proportions and whimsical, organic form that makes the Lutyens a timeless classic.

Lyre Seating is built in the Craftsman Style , with vertical slats like the stings of the instrument for which is named.

The classically formal Promenade Benches and Chairs are  designed for high-traffic public spaces with heavier posts and seats.  The back rests and arms have a subtle cove detail that add to their classic presence. 

Promenade benches  are often specified as a radius bench, mimicking the curve of a graceful walkway or circling a fountain plaza.

The X bench features strong, squared posts and elegant tapered front legs. The bold “X” back pattern delineates one, two, or three generous seat spaces.
